Ford PH Issues airbag recall for select Everest, Ranger and Mustangs; total of 32,900 vehicles affected
Calling all Ford owners, Ford Philippines has issued a recall advisory for select Everest, Ranger, and Mustang units. The recall advisory is due to a possible faulty airbag unit.

Affected models include 2006-2014 Everests, 2004-2011 Rangers, and 2005-2014 Mustangs. The brand says that approximately 32,900 vehicles are affected by this recall. The recall advisory went further to say that the faulty airbags could kill or seriously injure passengers, so it’s best to have this fixed immediately.
“Ford is issuing an urgent recall on all vehicles fitted with affected frontal driver and passenger Takata airbag inflators. It comes as the compulsory recall of all vehicles fitted with frontal driver and passenger Takata airbags with non-desiccated ammonium nitrate inflators plus desiccated ammonium nitrate inflators using a calcium sulfate desiccant” said the automaker in the recall advisory.
The servicing and replacement of the airbag inflators are free of charge at any dealership nationwide, and the brand claims that the servicing will only take less than half a day.
