Toyota Rush facelifted first as Daihatsu Tersios, when will PH get it?
When the Toyota Rush first launched here it became quite a popular model, at the time it was a more macho and SUV-looking MPV compared to most of the competitors. However, times have changed and the competition has evolved while the Rush has basically stayed the same.
Daihatsu Terios (Toyota Rush) Facelift
In Indonesia, Daihatsu (who make the Rush for Toyota) has just updated the Terios the Daihatsu equivalent of the Rush. What makes this update significant is the fact that both the Rush and Terios share almost all interior and exterior panels, meaning a facelift for the Rush might just be in the works as well.
The front gets a more aggressive front fascia with a new slimmer grille, it also gets more pronounced bumpers and a new foglight housing. The headlights also get the ‘smoked’ look and new 17-inch alloy wheels have been added as well, the rear meanwhile gets bigger cladding with more reflectors and chrome accents.
Inside, the Terios updates are mostly relegated to new trims and tech. Leather combination seats are now available and the dashboard and door panels now add soft-touch materials. The instrument cluster is updated with a more comprehensive multi-informational display. Lastly, it now gets wireless charging and an around-view monitor.
In terms of power, the same 1.5-liter engine is still carried over from the current model as well as the 4-speed transmission.
