After the fairly recent release of the Avanza, Toyota’s not about to stop bringing in more of the new stuff. The brand dropped an Easter egg very aptly this past Easter Sunday that pointed towards the 2022 Toyota Veloz. It seems we all guessed right.
After some snooping, we were able to gather information about the upcoming “newest member and compact SUV” of Toyota. Ladies and gentlemen, here we give you the variants, prices, and available colors for the 2022 Toyota Veloz.

With regard to the engine, it seems that the Veloz will be sharing the same 1.5-Liter motor under the hood of the Avanza. It’s going to be the same between just two variants, and both will have a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
We tried to fish for more, but not much information was known, even internally. It’s either that or those in the know are just keeping mum about it. Well, you can’t blame them for not disclosing everything in one go and this early before its official release either, right? Of course, this may be subject to change as Toyota Motor Philippines may deem appropriate. But if what information sources have are something to go by, this list is likely to be what we can expect at the very least.
I can’t help but wonder why anyone would still be spending 1.25 million for a gasoline powered vehicle only to spend most of its time sitting idling in city traffic. What is the annual cost in fuel, maintenance, repairs,finances & health for 5 years of ownership? I love Toyota products but they are going to be left far behind once the Chinese start exporting their far more logical & sensible electric vehicles at 1/3 the cost of this Toyota.
