Toyota PH is unveiling 2 new models at PIMS 2024, what could they be?

Not wanting to be outdone by the number of new models Toyota Motor Philippines unveiled last year and this year, the brand looks to continue its success and buzz by readying two new models for the upcoming 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS 2024).

The teaser photo shared by Toyota Motor Philippines on social media looks to unveil two new models for the Philippine market. Based on the silhouette, we can somehow deduce what these two models might be.

The current Camry HEV has been in the Philippines for quite a few years already, Seeing as the updated Camry HEV has already been released in North America for quite some time, it only makes sense that the updated model could come to Philippine shores sooner rather than later.

The updated Camry HEV has sleeker styling and better technology. Thanks to a new fifth-generation hybrid system, its power has also increased, now producing a combined 232 hp (30 hp more than the outgoing model). Whether an AWD variant could be available is yet to be determined, but judging by the available outgoing model, it would most likely be the FWD variant.

It’s been a long time coming, but judging by the teaser, the all-new Toyota Vios could debut at PIM 2024. Better known as the Yaris Ativ in Thailand, it’s about time that the all-new model would somehow reach Philippine shores and replace the outgoing model, seeing as the Yaris Ativ has been available in Thailand for over two years now.

That said, since the current Toyota Vios is made locally at the Toyota Santa Rosa plant, the all-new Toyota Tamaraw would now replace it as a locally produced model.
