The VinFast VF6 made its public debut during the 2025 edition of the Manila International Auto Show, and it launched as a bigger more premium, and capable offering compared to the VF5.
Our previous comparisons pitted each car squarely against its competition in the same class, for this one we opted to pick some vehicles outside the immediate class of the VF6 for an interesting comparison.

Verdict
While it may be confusing to some why we compared the VF6 to the Dolphin and XForce, as the headline figures above suggest the VF6 is actually a pretty competitor for these models. Sizewise the VinFast VF6 is much bigger than the Dolphin, and matched with the XForce, in fact in terms of ground clearance the VinFast is right in the middle with the 2nd tallest car.
In terms of safety, the VF6 has both the Dolphin and the XForce beat, with a total of 22 Advanced Features for safety, the VinFast VF6 also has the most airbags compared to both, it even comes with a combi 1.0 air filter for the cabin.
It’s when it comes to performance though that the VinFast VF6 has the biggest advantage, the EV motor it has produces either 177HP or 204 HP, compared to the Dolphin’s 95 HP, and the XForce’s 105 HP, torque is also considerably higher.
The full EV range of the VF6 is 20% more than the Dolphin’s full range, despite them almost costing the same amount of money in terms of the base variant VF6 vs the 1 variant of the Dolphin.
Speaking of Price the VF6 is also pretty well matched compared to the other 2 models, coming in a little bit more than 1.4 Million for the base eco variant and 1.6 Million for the top variant.
In summary, the VinFast VF6 makes quite a compelling case as an option against other EVs or even some ICE models in the market, it matches up well on paper and might just be able to sway buyers with what it offers.
