Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) and Toyota Tacloban, Leyte Inc. have begun construction of a new service center in Palo, Leyte — the first Toyota service facility in the province.
The facility will have a total floor area of 6,000 square meters and will offer Express Maintenance, Periodic Maintenance, and General Repairs. It will include a showroom and 32 service bays. The center is expected to open by mid-2027.

TMP Senior Vice President for Marketing Sherwin Chua-Lim noted that Toyota Tacloban has served Leyte for 13 years and has built a customer base of 28,000 to date.
Toyota Tacloban, Leyte Inc. President Jimmy T. Yaokasin said the project goes beyond adding another facility. “This groundbreaking ceremony is not simply about constructing another service center. It is about preparing for the next generation,” he said, citing rising customer expectations and rapid changes in mobility and technology.

Palo is a first-class municipality along the Pan-Philippine Highway with access to Tacloban City and other parts of Leyte and Samar. Its proximity to airports, seaports, and national road networks makes it a key commercial and transit hub in the region.
