The Suzuki S-Presso is one of the most affordable cars on the market right now. Despite that, it’s actually more than decent as a daily driver, however, it was only available as a manual ever since it was launched, things have changed though.
Suzuki S-Presso AT/AGS
The brand is finally listening to its fans and the public as they launched the S-Presso now with the Auto Gear Shift System (AGS) found in the Celerio and Dzire. AGS is a system that uses a normal 5-speed manual gearbox but with a computer-activated actuator which leads to an automatically controlled clutch.
This new AGS system in the 2023 S-Presso features a creep function for bumper-to-bumper traffic and a kick-down mode. Its main philosophy is better performance and better fuel efficiency as opposed to the normal automatic transmission. Also new to the 2023 S-Presso is an updated KC10 engine that still produces 67 PS and 90 Nm of torque, but has improved fuel efficiency and emissions thanks to a variable valve timing system and engine automatic stop system.
It also features some interior updates like steering wheel controls and a new touchscreen head unit that features Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Lastly, safety has not been forgotten with the S-Presso now coming with ABS with EBD as well as an Electronic Stability Program.
The new Suzuki S-Presso AGS will be available in the market very soon and will cost PHP 660,000.
Much better matic than manual.
