A couple of years ago Toyota went all out and gave the world the GR Supra GT4 race cars, these cars were purpose-built to take on the track and destroy the competition. Fast forward to now and the GR Supra GT4 has just reached an important milestone, 100 units have been produced and sold.
These cars were powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-6 now makes 430 hp and 650 Nm and is paired to a 7-speed sports automatic transmission. The suspension gets KW dampers on both ends, a limited-slip differential at the back, and a Brembo racing brake system to reign in the power.
Toyota to release special edition GR Supra GT4s
To commemorate the occasion the brand is releasing two special edition GR Supra GT4s, the first is the more limited (rarer) GR Supra GT4 100 edition. This car is based on the GT4 EVO model and is painted a special Plasma Orange color, It also gets a special hood and a badge with a serial number. Only three of these models will be offered worldwide.
The second is the Plasma Orange 100 Edition which is based on the top-of-the-line GR Supra as opposed to being based on the GT4 EVO model. While it gets the same color as the GT4 100 edition, the Plasma Orange 100 is further differentiated from normal Supras with black-painted brake calipers. Inside, it gets Alcantara seat upholstery too.
Toyota GR Supra Plasma Orange 100 Edition production run will top out at just 100 units and all are sadly destined for the Japanese market only.
