It was fun while it lasted, unfortunately, after a continuous string of fuel price rollbacks, fuel companies have just announced a pretty sizable fuel price increase.
Clean Fuel, and Seaoil, have announced their fuel price increase. According to the fuel companies, Diesel is set to go up by a whopping PHP 2.60USD 0.04INR 4EUR 0.04CNY 0.32 and gasoline by a sizable PHP 0.70USD 0.01INR 1EUR 0.01CNY 0.09. The good thing is, that Clean Fuel is implementing their fuel price increase at 4:01 pm on August 23, so motorists have until then to fill up before prices go up. Seaoil however is sadly increasing their prices as early as 6:00 am.
This price increase could not have come at a worse time for motorists, as face-to-face classes have returned. Not to mention that traffic has significantly worsened in the past week alone, which is an indicator that more people are really using their vehicles.
We can expect other fuel companies to follow suit with their own announcements as the day goes on, but it’s safe to say that if you’re running low on fuel, now or any time today would be the best time to fill up.
