Being Jennie Kim of BLACKPINK, you’re already a huge standout in any crowd. But if you are Jennie Kim driving around in a Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo custom-built just for you, then that’s just fire.
Simply known as Jennie, the 26-year-old K-Pop icon collaborated with Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program and had a custom-built Taycan just for her. It’s not black and pink, but it’s definitely a 1-of-1 unit in all of Korea and the world.
“How You Like That” Taycan now?
It’s not impossible for car manufacturers to get celebrities as endorsers and even have cars built just for them. Such is the case of this particular specimen. The Sonderwunsch program of Porsche enables individuals to restore old units to a practically brand new state or to tailor brand new cars to one’s liking, and Jennie Kim did just that. Her weapon of choice? The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo.
“JENNIE had very specific images of her dream Porsche. The collaboration was accordingly intense and inspiring. Working together with international customers on these special projects is particularly exciting and enriching. In this case we were also faced with interesting challenges that motivated us as a team to be able to make even the most creative wishes come true.” – Alexander Fabig, Vice President Individualisation and Classic at Porsche
Starting with its exterior, Jennie picked out a metallic black finish that is properly complemented by Meissenblue-colored 21-inch wheels. Likewise, the “Electric” and Taycan badges in the rear are finished in the same blue shade. Even the decals on the windows carry the same color.
Inside, you’ll see more of Meissenblue on the door trims, air conditioning vents, center console cupholders, and on the top center portion of the steering wheel. Interior pieces being mentioned, you’ll find illuminated front door entry guards with “Jennie Ruby Jane” lettering, as well as her nickname “NiNi” on the rear doors. The overall motif chosen for the interior is Meissenblue, Black, and Crayon.
Additional accents that scream that this is a custom-built Taycan include “JennieRubyJane” and the cloud designed by the K-Pop star herself embossed onto the front seat headrest. There’s even a black dog box for her pet pomeranian. Of course, the box is again accentuated in Meissenblue with Kuma’s name stamped on the front.
Powering this Taycan is an electric motor that puts out up to 560 kW (or about 750 HP) that is mated to a 2-speed transmission. Should Jennie wish to go “Playing With Fire”, it can go from 0-60 Km/h in just 2.6 seconds and can go upwards to 259 Km/h. Oh, you’ll find the Taycan 4S badge on the engine finished in Meissenblue, too.
On her custom-built Taycan, Jennie Kim had this to say:
“Being able to collaborate so intensively on my own very personal Porsche was an amazing experience. I’m especially proud of having designed the visualization of the clouds. I spend a lot of time traveling around the world – the sky and the clouds are my traveling companions and a beautiful symbol of these unique experiences. This is why I feel a special connection to them and am so passionate about photographing these nature motifs.”
This is but a sneak peek for everyone on the internet curious about Jennie’s brand-spanking-new Taycan 4S. It is set to be revealed in the metal at the “Sonderwunsch Haus”, coinciding with the start of BLACKPINK’s world tour in Seoul. Oh, to be a star, indeed. Imagine how Boombayah it would be to drive around in a custom-built Porsche.
