Store memberships that can get you fuel discounts

As you have noticed in previous announcements, gas prices just keep on increasing, and this has become a problem for those who use their vehicles daily so they can go to work or attend to other important things. There are different ways to save on fuel costs, but one of the most effective methods is to take advantage of store memberships to get discounts. Here are your options.

Unioil + S&R

unioil snr • Store memberships that can get you fuel discounts

If you frequently shop at S&R, then you’re probably already aware that you can use your membership card to get discounts at Unioil. You’ll get PHP 2.50/L off on Diesel, PHP 3.00/L off on 91 octane gas, and PHP 5.00/L off on 95 and 97 octane. Unioil and S&R are marketing this as a limited-time promo but they’re consistently renewing this, and so far this is in effect until October 8, 2022.

If you don’t have a membership card yet, just head to your nearest S&R branch and apply for it. The annual membership fee is PHP 700 for a Gold card.

Unioil Loyalty Card

Alternatively, you can also opt for the Unioil Loyalty Card which can provide you PHP 2.00/L off on Diesel, PHP 3.00/L off on 91, and PHP 4.00/L off on 95 and 97. Take note that the offer is only available in participating Unioil stations, so it’s best to check their official Facebook page for updates. Like S&R, this is also marketed as a limited-time promo and is extended until April 15, 2022.

Caltex + Landers

If you’re not a frequent visitor of S&R or there’s no S&R branch near your area, but there’s Landers Superstore, you can go for that as well. Members can gas up at any Landers-Caltext gas stations and get PHP 10.00/L off on Platinum & Silver gasoline, or PHP 5.00/L off on diesel.

A premium membership at Landers is currently priced at PHP 600, while the business membership is at PHP 750.

Caltex + Rewards Cards

Aside from their partnership with Landers, Caltex also partnered with other establishments for rewards cards. Basically, it gives you points for every fuel purchase at Caltex, then you can use those points to get fuel discounts.

If you have a Go Rewards or Robinsons Rewards card, you can earn 1 Go Rewards Point for every 5 liters of Caltex gasoline or diesel purchase via any payment modes. You can then redeem 1 Go Rewards Point for a PHP 1.00 discount per liter of Caltex fuel.

Alternatively, you can also use your MVP Rewards Card at Caltex to earn PHP 1.00 cashback for every 5 liters of purchased fuel, which will then be credited to your PayMaya account within 48 hours. You can then use your accumulated cashback as fuel savings.

Shell + SM Advantage

If you have an SM Advantage card, you can also use it to get a PHP 3.00/L discount at Shell stations in Metro Manila, North and South Luzon. In addition, your fuel purchase will earn you SM Advantage points that you can redeem in the future. However, it looks like the promo already expired in January. But do let us know if you saw that it’s still being offered in some stations.

Alternatively, some are also suggesting using the Shell GO+ App/Card to get up to PHP 3.00/L off when you purchase a minimum of PHP 1,500-worth of fuel.

Cleanfuel + Puregold Tindahan ni Aling Puring or Perks Card

If you have a Puregold Tindahan ni Aling Puring or Perks Card, you can get PHP 1.00/L off on diesel, or PHP 2.00/L on gasoline when you purchase your fuel at Cleanfuel. It’s a limited-time offer as well and will run until December 31, 2022.

Seaoil + PriceLOCQ app

This is not a membership card but an app but it allows you to purchase Seaoil fuel in advance, preferably during a rollback or while price is relatively low. Then when it’s to fuel up, just go to PriceLOCQ-supported Seaoil stations and redeem your fuel. Another good thing about this is that you can buy up to 600 liters of gasoline and diesel products, so, in some way, it allows you to actually stock up on gas.

And there you have it. If you’re bothered by the increasing gas prices and want to look for additional ways to save on fuel, then you might want to try the memberships and apps above. If we missed anything, feel free to help your fellow readers by commenting it down below.
