Mercedes-Benz has proudly unveiled the latest iteration of its legendary off-road vehicle, the all-new Mercedes-Benz G-Class. This new model continues the storied success story of its predecessors since its inception in 1979 but also marks a significant leap forward in terms of performance, technology, and customization.
Retaining its classic design elements and renowned off-road capabilities, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz G 550 is equipped with electrified engines that promise enhanced responsiveness and comfort. Featuring a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine, the G 550 delivers an impressive 443 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque, complemented by a 48-volt integrated starter generator (ISG) for added performance and efficiency.
One of the standout features of the new G-Class is its innovative MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system, which includes a 12.3-inch driver display and central multimedia display with touch control. This system, along with advanced safety and assistance systems, ensures that the G-Class is more connected and safer than ever before.
The exterior has been refined in terms of design, including a new radiator grille with four horizontal louvers and redesigned front and rear bumpers. Customers can expect luxurious touches inside the cabin, such as ambient lighting, climate-controlled cupholders, and the optional MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment System.
For those seeking further personalization, the MANUFAKTUR range offers an extensive array of customization options for both the exterior and interior, allowing owners to create a G-Class that genuinely reflects their individual style.
But it’s not just about style and comfort – the new G-Class remains a formidable off-road machine. With its proven ladder-frame construction, three mechanical differential locks, LOW RANGE off-road gear reduction, and a host of off-road drive programs, including “Trail,” “Rock,” and “Sand,” the G-Class is ready to tackle any terrain with confidence.
Moreover, the introduction of the new OFFROAD COCKPIT and “Transparent Hood” function further enhances the off-road driving experience, providing drivers with essential data and improved visibility of obstacles.
Safety is also paramount, with the latest driver assistance systems such as Active Steering Assist, Active Emergency Stop Assist, and Route-Based Speed Adaptation available to provide added peace of mind on and off the road.
In addition to the G 550, Mercedes-AMG enthusiasts can look forward to the all-new Mercedes-AMG G 63, featuring a handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine with increased performance (585 hp and 850 Nm) and reduced fuel consumption. With its available AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension and distinctive design elements, the new AMG G 63 promises an unparalleled driving experience that combines dynamic performance with off-road prowess.
