DTI issues another recall advisory for Toyota vehicles, Right front side impact beam issue for Avanza and Veloz

Just last week we wrote about how the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) issued a recall regarding several Daihatsu-made Toyota vehicles.

Said vehicles may have had an issue with the brakes, but now as if adding insult to injury there is another recall advisory for the Avanza and Veloz.

Toyota Avanza and Veloz Side Impact Beam Issue

In a post on their official Facebook page, the DTI posted the following:

“FREE Special Service Campaign for the RH Front Side Impact Beam. This is due to improper welding condition in the side impact beam inside the right front door, there is a possibility that the strength of the welding could be insufficient during a side impact collision, and in the worst case, may not perform as designed, which could cause excessive injury to the vehicle occupant.
