Geely updates Haoyue (Okavango) for 2023, When will PH get it?

Geely is one of the strongest brands in the country, and its strength can be attributed to one of its popular models, the Okavango. When the Okavango was launched it immediately became a success, because of its size, 7 seats, features, and great pricing.

In its home country (China) The Okavango (Haoyue) has just received a few updates to bring some life to an aging model.

2023 Updates for Geely Haoyue (Okavango)

Most of the more obvious changes can be seen on the outside. Geely chose to update the front fascia by removing the expanding cosmos grille and in its place is now a larger more imposing octagonal grille. The LED headlights now have a sharper shape, Complementing the new front are the bigger side intakes and a faux front skid plate to give the 7-seat crossover a more imposing look.

The rear also got some updates from Geely, it now has a distinctive light bar design that runs through the whole rear tailgate. Overall the look features a more rounded design as compared to the previous design. The Haoyue is 25mm longer and 10mm wider than the initial model. As it stands, the crossover now measures 4860 mm long, 1910 mm wide, and 1770 mm tall. The wheelbase has also been stretched from 2815 mm to 2825 mm, for more space inside.

The interior also gets a healthy dose of updates too! the airconditioning vents now have one continuous design as opposed to the infinity look before. Its new digital instrument cluster is a 10.25-inch unit, while the infotainment screen also gets a boost in size to 12.3 inches.

To add more luxury to the Haoyue (Okavango) Geely put contrasting tan interior panels to break the monotony of black or silver.

In terms of the powertrain, the updated vehicle gets a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo with 218 PS and 325 Nm of torque paired with a 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission.

Given that the Okavango is a strong model for Geely Philippines, could we see the updated version on our shores soon? only time will tell, but based on what China has, we’re sure Geely fans are waiting with bated breath.
