New Honda City Hatchback officially launched today, lone RS variant priced at PHP 1,189,000
A month after reservation books were opened, the new Honda City Hatchback has finally been launched. The model update – no, it is not an all-new model – features updates to both its interior and exterior, and more importantly, the addition of the brand’s safety suite, Honda SENSING. This time, there is only one variant that will be available, and that is the RS.

On the outside, the new Honda City Hatchback gets a redesigned front end by way of a new front bumper and grill. The RS kit has likewise been updated to look sportier this time around. It also comes with new 16″ alloys colored in what Honda calls “Berlina Black” that rounds up the overall young and sporty vibe of the refreshed hatchback.
The inside does have some additions and updates as well, albeit quite minimal. The upholstery will now be the same leather material that we’ve come to expect from the RS variants of other Honda vehicles. A 4.2-inch TFT MID also makes its way to the gauge cluster and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have also made their way into the new Honda City Hatchback.
Perhaps its biggest update comes with the addition of Honda SENSING. Specifically, the suite includes Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation and Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW), and Auto High Beam (AHB). Six SRS airbags have also been added with a Walk Away Auto Door Lock feature to boot.
Available only on the new Honda City Hatchback is the Sonic Grey Pearl color. Currently, no other Honda vehicle can be ordered with the same paint, but there are also four other color options and those include Ignite Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic.
No mechanical changes were made under the hood of the new Honda City Hatchback, and it retails for PHP 1,189,000.
From today until June 16, customers can see the new City Hatchback in the metal at the 9th Ave. Bonifacio High Street Activity Center. And just to highlight Honda SENSING, a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) test ride will be conducted tomorrow until Sunday. As of this writing, those interested can already head to their nearest dealership and place an order (or a purchase) for the new Honda City Hatchback.
