WRC Driver-Overseen special editions elevate the updated Toyota GR Yaris

Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) unveiled two special editions of the GR Yaris at the Rallye Monte Carlo, marking the debut of the GR Yaris RZ “High Performance Sébastien Ogier Edition” and the GR Yaris RZ “High Performance Kalle Rovanperä Edition.” These unique vehicles, limited to 100 units each, are based on the enhanced GR Yaris and were introduced during the first round of the 2024 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).

Originally presented as concepts at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2023, the Ogier Edition and Rovanperä Edition are supervised by members of the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team (TGR-WRT), including Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperä. The development of these special editions was motivated by Chairman Akio Toyoda (Morizo) ‘s desire to acknowledge and express gratitude to the drivers, teams, rally organizers, and fans who contribute to the growth and success of Toyota cars in rallies.

Both editions feature interior and exterior modifications and unique 4WD control modes designed with input from the drivers. Additionally, special-experience programs related to the TGR-WRT are planned for purchasers, offering them the chance to engage with the excitement of the WRC.

The Ogier Edition, painted in a new Matte Stealth Gray, boasts a high-performance 4WD control system named “MORIZO Mode” and “SEB. Mode,” which enhances turning performance and traction.

The Rovanperä Edition, with a three-tone paint scheme inspired by Rovanperä’s helmet design, introduces “DONUT Mode” and “KALLE Mode” for precise drifting control and improved race times.

Both editions include lightweight rally spoilers, WRC victory commemorative decals, and steering wheel stitching matching the home country’s flag colors of each driver. Special exterior and interior enhancements, such as BBS aluminum wheels, exclusive logos, and TFT gauge displays, distinguish the Ogier and Rovanperä Editions from the standard GR Yaris RZ.

To further commemorate the WRC victories, these special editions come with added equipment, including unique radiator grille decorations, victory commemorative badges, and exclusive benefits for purchasers. The vehicles are set to be exhibited in Japan, starting from February 15-18 at the plaza in front of the JR Gate Tower at Nagoya Station, leading up to the start of the purchasing lotteries scheduled for this spring at GR Garage locations around Japan.
