Based on the CAMPI report, the industry saw significant growth in SUVs and MPVs at around 65% and 58%, respectively. Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) Corporation President & CEO Yugo Kiyofuji said “Geely’s overall sales performance in 2022 has definitely benefited from the popularity and increased demand for bigger vehicles last year wherein more buyers shifted to SUVs and MPVs.”

“We are facing the new year with a greater outlook not only for our brand but also for the country’s whole car industry given the significant improvement in the overall industry sales in 2022.  As we target to sell 5 digits this year, we remain focused on further expanding our network, especially in growth areas. This is also an exciting time for the automaker as we aim to introduce more models that will continue to change the game in its respective segments,” Kiyofuji added.
