The Nissan LEAF is one of the better-known EVs in the world, that’s because Nissan had successfully launched it in numerous countries. While it has been around locally for quite some time now, the LEAF hasn’t really sold in great numbers.
It isn’t the car’s fault though, more of the fact that EVs haven’t had the full support they need to succeed locally. Thankfully, the newfound interest and support in EVs have prompted the automaker to give the LEAF new updates to entice customers.
Turning over a new Nissan LEAF
During the 10th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (with the theme United in Driving Electromobility) in Support of the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA) held from October 20-21, 2022, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, the brand revealed the updated LEAF.
The new LEAF brings a refreshed, modern exterior and interior design with the full suite of Nissan Intelligent Mobility features that provide advanced safety and convenience in every drive. It carries the new brand badge with a redesigned bigger grill, blacked-out headlamps, and a new 16″ alloy wheel design. On the rear, the new LEAF also has a redesigned spoiler and an under diffuser.
The LEAF continues to be an icon of Nissan Intelligent Mobility with its complete suite of safety and convenience features including the e-Pedal, an innovative technology that uses a one-pedal action for more convenient driving and braking, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning with Intelligent Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning with Intelligent Lane Intervention, and the Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, among others. New to the New Nissan LEAF is the Intelligent Rear View Mirror, giving customers more security and confidence when driving.
The Nissan LEAF is exclusively distributed by Gateway Motors group in the Philippines and is available now at a retail price of Php 2,790,000.
