The Honda e was destined to be something, the vehicle was made to satisfy a certain segment of the newly emerging EV market. Unfortunately, after just 3 years in the market, the e is set to be discontinued by 2024.
Honda e to be killed off
It was posted on the official Facebook page of the brand that “Production of the vehicle will end on January 2024, Honda e will be discontinued once the production run is sold out.”
When this vehicle was launched the brand was pegging a 10,000-a-year sales figure, but the pandemic plus an up-and-down EV market meant sales topped out at as high as 3,400 plus.
Hopefully, this is just a speed bump in the automaker’s EV roadmap.
