It’s no secret that the launch of the all-new 2023 Toyota Vios looms, we’ve even reported and speculated how it could look and suspected engine options.
However, a recent report by AutoLife Thailand gives us a little more insight into how the popular sedan might actually look. In the report, the 2023 Toyota Vios was spotted once more testing on Thai roads, what makes this more significant than our previous article is that less camouflage was present, giving us more insight into its looks.

2023 Toyota Vios Exterior Spyshots
Based on the photos, the 2023 Toyota Vios seems to follow the look of the Daihatsu DN-F concept design we reported before. The front fascia takes a form reminiscent of the Toyota Veloz and Avanza. That isn’t surprising considering that the 2023 Toyota Vios will now be a joint project between Daihatsu and Toyota.
Reportedly the all-new Toyota Vios will use the DNGA platform which is currently being used by the Raize, Avanza, and Veloz. As for rumored engine options the report mentioned that the Thailand version of the 2023 Toyota Vios will be launched with two engine choices.
The first is a 1.2-Liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder gasoline engine, and a 1.5-Liter hybrid engine. While a hybrid does sound exciting, there are no guarantees that it will make its way here.
Who knows? maybe the 1.0-Liter turbo found in the Toyota Raize might find another home in the local version of the all-new Toyota Vios.
Right now, everything is still up in the air. While we can sufficiently say that the launch could happen very soon, no details have been confirmed as of yet.
