Genesis has revealed the X Gran Equator Concept, marking the brand’s first step into the adventure vehicle segment. The concept blends Genesis’ “Athletic Elegance” design philosophy with off-road capability, reflecting a move toward lifestyle-focused models.

The exterior follows reductive design principles, with clean lines and minimal surfaces. A long hood, sleek cabin, and fast-sloping C-pillars set it apart from traditional SUVs. Off-road elements include dark wheel-arch cladding and 24-inch beadlock wheels. The vehicle also features geometric auxiliary lights, a split-opening tailgate, and Genesis’ signature Two-Line headlamps.
Inside, the cabin contrasts analog design with modern digital tech. A four-circle display cluster on the center stack draws inspiration from vintage camera dials. The dashboard features linear architecture with minimal decoration, while swiveling front seats and modular storage aim to improve usability and comfort.
The name “X Gran Equator” is derived from “Equator,” an Arabian stallion known for endurance and agility—traits the concept aims to embody. The vehicle is intended to perform in demanding conditions without compromising on refinement.
While Genesis has not confirmed production plans, the concept highlights the brand’s interest in expanding into versatile, outdoor-oriented vehicles. Design elements like integrated roof rails and the unique tailgate offer a preview of what may come in future models.
