2023 Honda Civic Type R is once again the fastest front wheel drive car at the Nürburgring
The Honda Civic Type R is one of the most legendary hot hatches ever made, its unrivaled performance and useability have garnered it numerous fans (and fanatics) over the years.

However, the performance benchmark for most (if not all) performance vehicles is a lap time around the infamous “Green Hell” at the Nurburgring race track in Germany. Brands from all over the world would unleash their performance cars on the track and set the fastest laps possible in order to get bragging rights and use the old racing philosophy “Win on Sunday, sell on Monday”.
In fact, in previous years (and generations) the Type R has set records of its own already around the 12.8/12.9-mile race track. The big news is the latest iteration of the Type R has just taken back its crown as the fastest front-wheel-drive car to lap the Nordschleife layout of the famous track.

Based on certain calculations this current version is around 4 seconds faster than the previous FK8 Type R, which is no small feat.
